STs and RPTs initially qualifying as an JRPT or SRPT or requalifying as a SRPT
The RPT oral board is an initial assessment of a Radiological Protection’s (RPTs) field knowledge. This assessment is used to determine if the Survey Technician (ST) is knowledgeable enough to function as a Junior RPT (JRPT) and a JRPT is knowledgeable enough to function as a Senior RPT (SRPT). SRPT requalification is completed in accordance with PROC-RP-4540, Radiological Protection and Survey Technician Training, to ensure the SRPT has retained the knowledge to function as a SRPT.
