Derivative Classifier

Leesa Laymance
Several positions in UCOR Security and Classification have this requirement.
Derivative Classification is a determination by a Derivative Classifier (DC) that a document or material contains classified or unclassified information as specified in approved classification guidance (classification guides, bulletins, or source documents). As a DC, the employee determines if documents or material contain classified or sensitive but unclassified information in order to protect it for National Security purposes. Candidates must be nominated by their Supervisor and approved by the Classification Officer. To get the process started, one would complete Form-2269, then attend training and pass exam.
